Wrangling The Undercurrent

Do you feel like you’re carrying the weight of the world, yet somehow still alone? Maybe there’s a constant undercurrent of anxiety or a quiet loneliness that lingers, even when you’re surrounded by people who care. You’ve tried talking it through, but it feels like placing a band-aid on something that needs stitches.

Training Matters

I’m here to go deeper—beyond the surface-level fixes—to uncover what’s truly fueling these feelings. With my background in comprehensive assessments, we’ll dig into those hidden layers together. From there, we can begin to rewire an overactive nervous system that’s turned your own thoughts into relentless critics. Let’s get to the root of it and create real, lasting relief, so you can finally feel at peace.

Where I Come From

Growing up in the rugged landscapes of Maine, I came to understand that both nature—and people—can be beautifully tough. There’s a certain strength in being self reliant… until you find yourself alone with your struggles. I know firsthand how challenging that can feel. In therapy with me, you’ll discover a space that feels both familiar and deeply grounding. Many clients describe it as a place where they can finally exhale, finding comfort and relief—like they’ve truly found a space to breathe.

My Approach

Whether you’re struggling with the fallout of past trauma or longing for closer, more meaningful relationships, I’m here to help you make sense of it all. Many people describe how they feel after talking to me as: like they are finally lighter. I want you to feel as comforted as when you are with a close friend—yet probe deep into your psyche. I bring expertise in relationship dynamics, attachment style and a real understanding of how our past impacts our present.

Lightning Round

French Fries or Onion Rings?

French fries, obviously. A little crispy at first, but soft on the inside.

Ideal Vacation Location

A resort on the beach (preferably eco-restorative) where the only decision I need to make is whether to order a mojito or a piña colada.

Favorite Part of the Day

The early evening, when the rush of the day subsides, and my husband and I find a moment to connect—before the night settles in around us.

What is the most interesting thing on your desk?

A crocheted duck my mom made. It’s a great conversation starter (and definitely doesn’t mean I’m a quack 😉).

Mountains or beach?

Mountains—but only if I can pack my favorite suit, just in case a spontaneous beach trip pops up.

What’s an accomplishment you’re proud of?

Finally earning my doctorate and becoming a licensed psychologist—nothing beats the feeling of turning years of passion and dedication into the career I love.

Do you have any hidden or unique talents?

I grew up on a competitive dance team—everything from lyrical to pointe ballet. Yes, I still have the occasional kitchen pirouette moment.

If you were a canned food item, what would it be?

Tomato soup—comforting, classic and somehow perfectly fits any occasion.

Favorite dish to cook?

Sweet chili salmon with rice—it’s vibrant and always impresses friends at dinner parties.

Neutrals or bright?

Bright, mostly. I like the idea of neutrals, but am just too drawn to color. And, colorful people too.

What was your first job?

Scooping ice cream at a local campground—great arm workout and an early lesson in keeping customers smiling (and kids sticky!).

Favorite book ever?

Where the Crawdads Sing by Delia Owens. I love a story that keeps me thinking long after the last page.

Favorite class you took in high school / college?

Cognitive neuroscience. I’m still mesmerized with how intricately our thoughts and emotions are connected – and the complexity of the brain’s interactions.

Would you rather give up butter or cheese?

Butter can go—I simply can’t imagine life without cheese. A good cheeseboard and killer charcuterie is my love language.

Favorite celebrity crush?

Ryan Reynolds, because … obviously.

Savory or sweet?

Ill keep this short and sweet. Savory all the way.

Maximalist or minimalist (or, as Freud would say, anal expulsive or anal retentive)?

Maximalist at heart, although I try to channel my inner minimalist. It’s a work in progress

Guilty pleasure?

Spending a rainy day binge-watching reality TV shows with my husband and my cat. It’s not highbrow, but that’s part of what makes it so good.

What would you do in a zombie apocalypse?

I’d find a secluded cabin, stock up on essentials, and live off the grid—roaring fire crackling in the background, and a solid meal prep routine to keep fears of the undead at bay.

What is one thing you could not go a day without?

An evening walk after work—it’s my daily reset. A breath of fresh air, some movement to clear my mind, and the space to reflect on the day.

Snow mobile or 4-wheeler?

Being from Maine, I’m supposed to say both, but let’s be real—I’ll pass on the snowmobile and 4-wheeler and choose something a little less “hold on tight” and a lot more “no chance of crashing into anything.”
